On Saturday, September 7, 2024, the Center of Polish Initiatives in Greece joined the campaign entitled “National Reading” initiated in 2012 by the Presidential Couple.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Mr. Jacek Gmoch, Honorary President of OIP, together with his wife Stefania Gmoch and President of OIP Beata Panagiotopoulou read fragments of “Kordian” by Juliusz S\u0142owacki together.<\/p>\n

This excellent work was first published in 1834 in Paris and is one of the poet’s most important literary achievements. The author presented an image of the era and a romantic vision of the fate of the generation of Polish conspirators.<\/p>\n

Ms. Krystyna Arkouda and Ms. Teresa Panagiotidou, members of the Center of Polish Initiatives in Greece, read with passion selected fragments of Juliusz S\u0142owacki’s drama.<\/p>\n

This year’s National Reading was an excellent opportunity to appreciate the value of reading and encounter flagship works of Polish literature.<\/p>\n
